February 4 is marked worldwide as World Cancer Day. On this occasion, the Fanarjian National Center of Oncology of Armenia is organizing its annual event, the Armenian Oncology Congress, since 2021.

The title of the 2024 congress is "Armenian Oncology: Current Successes and New Challenges.”

The objective of this event is to discuss—with the participation of recognized Armenian and foreign specialists—the policy and strategy of fighting cancer in Armenia, to present new methods and approaches to cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment.

The 4th Armenian Oncology Congress will be held on February 3-4 in Jermuk city, one of Armenia's attractions.

More than 50 participants from Armenia, Russia, US, Mexico, Europe, India, Argentina, Georgia, and Iran will deliver reports at this event to which more than 300 delegates will attend.

According to tradition, the 2024 Armenian Oncology Congress’ top three speakers from Armenia will receive rewards. But the respective money will not be given to the winners personally, it will be earmarked and provided exclusively for the purpose of further scientific advancement, to be published in high-ranking scientific journals, to cover the fee for participation in symposiums, trainings, etc. abroad.
