In the UK, a man suffered a fracture of the penis during a sexual act. Doctors considered this case unique, writes the British Medical Journal.
He went to doctors with complaints of penile trauma received during sex. According to him, he got the injury when his penis was sharply pushed into his partner's crotch. Afterward, he heard a crunching sound.
An MRI study showed that the fracture was not directed across, but along the penis. It was the first time that British doctors encountered such a variation of trauma to the genital organ.
The patient was successfully operated on. After a six-month rehabilitation period, he was able to return to a normal sexual life. The injury did not affect either the appearance of his penis or his erectile function.
