Scientists make historic breakthrough in baldness cure

The San Carlos Hospital in Madrid (Spain) has developed a new method of treating androgenic alopecia (hair loss). They have learned how to grow hair in the laboratory, writes the New York Post with reference to an article in the scientific journal Stem Cell Research and Therapy. Among the researchers - the head of the Department of Dermatology of the hospital Eduardo Lopez Bran.

Experiments were conducted on mice, experts took stem cells from adipose tissue and ATP energy molecules. In all experimental males hair grew back, reports RBC. At the same time, half of them had intensive hair growth. In females, hair growth was observed in 90% of cases.

The results are to be tested in experiments involving humans.
