The Sun: To reduce sweating, avoid spices and caffeine

July 15, 2025  16:07

To reduce sweating in hot weather, avoid spicy foods and caffeine. This was reported by pharmacist Abbas Kanani from the UK. The expert's words were quoted by The Sun.

According to Kanan, you should eliminate as many high-fat foods as possible from your diet. The fact is that fast food, fatty meats, butter, and pastries can raise cholesterol levels. This, in turn, can disrupt the circulatory system and cause increased sweating.

The list of foods that are “unsuitable” for hot weather also includes spices and caffeine, as these products stimulate the central nervous system. This not only has an invigorating effect, but also increases the body's thermogenesis, which causes sweating.

The expert added that it is important to maintain water balance in hot weather. She explained that dehydration increases sweating because the body has to work harder to cool the skin.

For those who want to sweat less, the pharmacist also advised giving up bad habits, getting enough sleep, and reducing stress. In addition, Kanan recommended choosing loose-fitting clothing made from natural fabrics.
