Cardiologist Roberto Yano warned that certain foods can worsen the course of hypertension and should therefore be excluded from the diet, Terra reported.
According to the specialist, the main risk comes from foods high in sodium, such as sausages, ham, salami, instant soups, fast food, ketchup, soy sauce, Parmesan and Cheddar cheese, canned peas and corn, chips, and French fries.
Yano also advised against consuming sugary drinks, coffee, and energy drinks.
The doctor emphasized that people with hypertension should follow a balanced diet, replacing harmful foods with healthier alternatives. He also recommended maintaining a healthy daily routine and undergoing regular medical checkups to monitor the condition.
