YEREVAN. – New restrictions to reduce the further spread of the coronavirus in Armenia are not only being discussed, but are already being drafted and circulated. Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told about this to reporters Monday.

She noted that in particular, it is envisioned that as of January 1, only those who are vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a negative PCR test will be able to enter public food establishments, attend cultural events, concerts, and enter a number of other venues in Armenia.

"We realize that, yes, these restrictive measures may cause some inconvenience. But we, assessing public health issues, believe that it is necessary to resort to such measures. Citizens who for some reason cannot be vaccinated shall confirm their entry [into the aforesaid venues] with a negative PCR test," added the health minister.
