Man's tiny 'pimple' turns out to be tumor

June 27, 2019  12:00

52-year-old James Murray from the Australian city of Marcoola on the Sunshine coast, had a benign-looking ‘pimple’ on his forehead that turned out to be a tumor, Daily Mail reported.

'Trying to pop the pimple in saltwater was one of the worst things I could have done,' he said.

His face scarred and he sought medical help, so Murray went to Sunshine Coast University Hospital's plastic and reconstructive team for surgery to remove the lump.

Doctors diagnosed squamous cell carcinoma, the second most common form of skin cancer. He was urgently operated on, the tumor was removed.

A large scar remained on his forehead after the operation, but James, he said, was pleased and happy that he could get rid of a huge tumor he named 'Freddie'.
