Eggs and other “unhealthy” foods can actually be healthy, nutritionists claim

According to La Vanguardia, many argue that eggs are harmful, but this is not true. The use of this product by some people is linked to high cholesterol and even hypertension. But daily consumption of two eggs will give the body much more benefit than harm, the specialist said adding that eggs contain proteins of high biological value and provide the body with essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

The nutritionist explained that it is necessary to distinguish between lean meat snacks and processed meat products. Natural lean meat, unlike the same sausages, can be confidently considered a useful product, because it contains vitamins, proteins and iron, necessary for health.

Another Spanish dietitian, Angela Moreno, said that the list of products that actually do more good than harm also includes whole milk (provided that it is consumed in moderation), as well as natural yogurts with normal fat content (and not fat free). According to Moreno, dairy products are a source of protein, vitamins and healthy fats.

The same can be said about another “harmful” product - peanut butter. However, the expert emphasized that in-store peanut butter contains a lot of sugar and unnecessary fat, so it’s better to cook it yourself.

Nutritionists also advised not to confuse sparkling water with sweet soda. Plain carbonated water does not provoke the appearance of excess weight and helps to digest food - not to say about carbonated drinks with sweeteners.
