March 4, 2021  11:20

The Armenian health minister Anahit Avanesyan said that the COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Armenia, as 491 (16%) new cases have been reported.

The results of only 5-7% of the tests conducted in January-February were positive, but the number of cases is growing. The experts foresee more positive test results next week.

If new inputs of restrictions are wanted to be avoided, which also affect the country's economy, it is necessary to return to the maintenance of the mask regime and to follow all the rules of security strictly in Armenia, the health minister noted.

In the coming days, it will become more crowded in shopping malls and hotels amid March 8 holidays, and it is also very important to strictly follow the security rules there.
