According to the newspaper The Pioneer, Indian nutritionist Priti Tyagi recommends that patients who have had coronavirus infection add more complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains, to their diet. In addition, the expert recommends eating more yogurts, drinking kombucha infusion, eating pickles and beans. All these products will help restore the intestinal microflora and strengthen the immune system.

For breakfast, Dr. Tyagi recommends eating a handful of walnuts, almonds, or pumpkin seeds, which are rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids that help the body recover from illness. Walnuts are also high in zinc, selenium, protein, and vitamin B, all of which play an important role in the health of a weakened body.

Dr. Rohini Patil believes that after COVID-19, you should not immediately return to your usual lifestyle and diet. It is necessary to sleep 8-9 hours a day since after an illness the immune system continues to recover after a hard fight.

It is also recommended to drink as much liquid as possible, but excessive physical and mental stress is not recommended. To restore the natural water balance in the body, the specialist recommends drinking water with chia seeds and basil.
