Some people drink lemon juice to lose weight. But in fact, this juice is far from harmless.
According to weight loss specialist Pavel Isanbaev, lemon juice prevents erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract from overgrowing.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, the specialist also noted that lemon juice aggravates the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease: stomach contents are thrown into the esophagus, sour belching, nausea, heartburn. It is not recommended for people with the listed diagnoses to drink water with lemon, especially on an empty stomach.
As the specialist noted, the optimal concentration of lemon juice in water is from a few drops to a tablespoon of 250 milliliters.
