Omicron variant not reported in Armenia yet

No cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus have been detected in Armenia yet, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention informed NEWS.am Medicine.
Not a PCR test, but a "sequencing" test is conducted to determine this variant. However, not all positive cases are examined in this study, but only a few of them. And among the studied, according to the specialists, the new variant has not been detected yet.
But the Omicron variant has already penetrated our region. Two such cases were reported in Georgia, and another case—in Iran.
