While you may just go whenever nature calls, there is in fact a perfect window of time to visit the WC – especially when it comes to doing a number two.
Apparently, the healthiest time to poo is within 30 minutes of waking up. There is clever science behind this allotted time frame.
It all comes down to our small intestines and colon being busy processing the food from the day before while we are asleep.
Then, once we wake up and start moving around, our bowels are ready to release yesterday’s waste.
But, if you struggle with irregular bowel movements and this doesn’t happen, don’t despair – there are certain things you can do to encourage your bowel clock to get back on track.
