Italian scientists have published a scientific review that details the benefits of coffee. Special emphasis is placed on the effect of coffee on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

Alzheimer's is a disease that manifests itself in memory loss, impaired thinking, and difficulty in orientation in time and space.

In Parkinson's disease, nerve cells that synthesize dopamine, which is needed for optimal muscle function, die. As a result, patients experience tremors - strong shaking in the whole body, especially in the limbs. Motor functions are impaired.

Experts from the universities of Foggia and Bari published an article in the journal Neural Regeneration Research, specializing in issues of regeneration (restoration) of the nervous system. Neurologists have recognized the undeniable protective effect of coffee on these diseases.

Experiments were organized both in the laboratory and on living organisms. They proved that coffee has a neuroprotective effect. That is, its components are able to protect the nervous system, which gives good prospects for the potential use of coffee as a preventive and therapeutic agent for a number of neurodegenerative diseases.

As for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, there are many studies that convincingly confirm the effectiveness of an invigorating drink in the fight against these ailments.
