Many people are used to eating sandwiches with butter and cheese for breakfast—but this is far from the best choice, says gastroenterologist Sergey Vyalov.
The specialist noted on Instagram that sandwiches with cheese and butter have a negative impact on the work of the heart and pancreas.
According to him, cheese and butter contain a large amount of cholesterol and triglycerides, which accelerate the development of atherosclerosis of the vascular vessels.
"There should be more plant-based and less animal-based foods in the diet. Modern recommendations for cardiac prophylaxis say that it is desirable for two of the three daily meals to be vegetarian," said the specialist.
