In order to stay healthy and continue to achieve success at the age of 40 and older, experts advise men to give up a number of bad habits, Eat This, Not That! reported.
First and foremost, experts advise not avoiding a comprehensive eye exam.
"This is because you are more prone to chronic diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration than younger people. With all of these diseases, early detection is very important," explains optometrist Jennifer Weidman.
The second bad habit the expert considers ignoring the protection of eyes and skin from direct sunlight exposure. The expert recommends wearing sunglasses in sunny weather and protecting the skin with special creams.
Among the bad habits of men over 40, experts also note the lack of proper skin care.
"After 40, the natural production of skin fat decreases, the skin becomes drier, duller and prone to cracks and possible infections. Against this, use body lotions containing ingredients such as shea butter or cocoa butter, and use regular facial moisturizers," advises the doctor.
